Jim McGean

 

 

 

Jim McGean, Managing Partner, is a Senior Sales & Marketing Executive with 25+ successful years in Telecommunications and the Wireless Industry.  Jim uniquely balances disciplined, insightful & innovative strategic sales & marketing skills, with a pragmatic approach of intense “Go To Market” tactical execution experience.

 

As a former South Area President for Verizon Wireless (VZW), he was accountable for $15B P&L, 16,000 employees, and a $200M Marketing budget.  During this leadership role, Jim had a strong influence on VZW-wide Product Development, Strategic Alliances, Distribution Partnerships, Equipment Line-Up, as well as Pricing, Loyalty and Service Programs.

 

As a Marketing, Product Development and Sales Leader for VZW, Jim grew revenues an outstanding 34% CAGR over a 9+ year period. He also led a regional Market Share “Turn-Around,” driving share from 11% to 35% (into the #1 position). Jim’s successful sales & marketing programs include: “Good, Better, Best” pricing strategy ($40M margin improvement); “Color Phones” campaign (+360% sales lift); and “Map For That” tactical campaign (led to $150M+ national advertising campaign), among others.

Jim has consistently created & delivered sales & marketing strategic partnerships to significantly grow revenues, as he was instrumental in pioneering: the first-ever Store Within a Store (SWAS) selling concept in both Wal-Mart & Home Depot; the 100 Black Men of Atlanta relationship & “How Sweet The Sound” programs to better position the company within the African-American segment; and the Atlanta Regional Consortium of Higher Education relationship to drive penetration of University sales; among numerous other customer segment specific programs.

Jim holds a BA in Economics from Emory University and a MBA in Finance from Georgia State University.

 

 

Mary Sue Clark

 

 

 

Mary Sue Clark, Managing Partner, is a Senior Sales & Marketing Executive with 25+ successful years of experience in Telecommunications and the Wireless Industry.  During her career, she completed an invitation-only Leadership Development Program with GTE.  She has award winning multi-discipline experience within the Tier 1 Carrier arena, including Sales and Sales Management; Business Development, Marketing, National Product Development, Direct and Indirect Distribution, National Account Management, as well as Global Account Management. 

In her Sales and Sales Management roles, she consistently delivered award winning Sales results and was the recipient of multiple National Sales Awards. As a National Product Manager at GTE/Verizon Wireless, she was handpicked to lead a cross functional team at the National headquarters for the development and implementation of a competitive response to Nextel’s “Push to Talk” capability which was successfully rolled out nationally, across all distribution channels. 

Most recently, as a Global Client Executive, she was responsible for working with leading multi-national companies and their C-Level Executives to develop and implement compelling and competitive wireless strategies.  Mary Sue was successful in securing the first ever “Multi-National Master Service Agreement” between The Coca-Cola Company and Vodafone.  As a Global Client Executive, she was responsible for a Virtual Sales team in 15+ Operating Companies and 50+ Carrier Partners and Affiliates.    

Her extensive Telecom Experience with Contel and GTE, combined with her Wireless Industry experience at GTE Mobilnet, Verizon Wireless, Sprint/Nextel, and Vodafone enable her role as a sought after Consultant for developing and implementing Strategic Mobile Strategies for Enterprises as well for successful Business Development within domestic and global Carriers for Technology-based Companies.

Mary Sue holds a BA and Masters in Administration from Auburn University and a MBA from the University of South Florida.
